VIDEO: Hugh Moffatt takes to the Rothesay stage

Waiting for Video...

American singer-songwriter Hugh Moffatt made his Bute debut on Saturday night in front of a near-capacity audience at St Paul’s Church Hall in Rothesay.

Moffatt’s work has been recorded over the years by many big-name artists, including Patti Page, Jerry Lee Lewis, Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash, and he drew extensively on the contents of his ten recorded albums for his two sets on Saturday.

The video clip shows part of his opening number, ‘How Could I Love Her So Much?’, a top-ten hit in the American country music charts for Johnny Rodriguez in 1983. For a full review see the next issue of The Buteman - on sale from Thursday, February 27.
