Householders, community groups and businesses are being invited to Rothesay Pavilion this week to find out more about ‘community and business resilience’ on the island.

The session - taking place between 10am and 3pm on Wednesday, February 25 - will offer information and assistance on a range of topics, from flood protection to insurance claims.

The Scottish Flood Forum and the Scottish Business Resilience Centre will be among the agencies at the event, which is one of three being held in Argyll and Bute - the others are in Campbeltown and Helensburgh - by the Argyll and Bute Local Resilience Partnership, aimed at ensuring commmunities are well prepared and able to respond to, and recover from, any unexpected challenges that they may face.
