Police have renewed their warning to drink responsibly during the festive season after being called to assist a man who'd fallen outside his home while under the influence of alcohol.

Rothesay police have reiterated their warning over drinking responsibly, after they were called to assist a man who’d fallen over on his doorstep while under the influence of alcohol.

The man was conveyed from his property in Townhead on the morning of December 20 to Victoria Hospital where he received treatment and was later released. He’d been on the doorstep for an hour in cold temperatures when police were alerted.

Rothesay police would like to remind the public of the importance of drinking responsibly, and of the greater health risks posed by the combination of cold weather and alcohol.
