Pupils learn pedestrian safety in Rothesay

editorial image

Pictured on the kerb at Bellevue Road in Rothesay are a group of P3 pupils from St Andrew’s Primary School who have been learning how to be a safe pedestrian with Argyll and Bute Council’s ‘Streetfeet’ scheme.

The three week course includes role play in the school and two outdoor sessions where the children learned how to cross the road safely by looking and listening for moving cars and taking the shortest route possible to get to the pavement other side.

The group is pictured with road safety officer June Graham and Rothesay Academy work placement pupil Brodie Varney.
