Man arrested for racial abuse in Rothesay takeaway

A 23-year-old man appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday, December 9, to face charges of racial abuse and culpable and reckless conduct.

A 23-year-old man appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday, December 9, to face charges of racial abuse and culpable and reckless conduct.

 

A 23-year-old man was arrested for a racial abuse offence and common assault at a takeaway shop in Rothesay.

The man was taken into custody following the incident, which took place at 2.05am on Saturday, December 7, and appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday, December 9.

Also appearing at the mainland court on the same day was a 44-year-old man facing charges of drug offences and of culpable and reckless conduct, after local police executed a drugs warrant on a property in Russell Street on Friday, December 6, at 9.30pm.
