Owners Tony and Beryl Harrison opened the doors of their home at The Huf Haus, probably the most distinctive new building on Bute in recent years, this week as part of the island’s contribution to the annual Doors Open Day event.

The Doors Open programme, which sees the doors of normally private buildings throughout the country opened to the public, has been extremely popular - indeed, tours of the Huf Haus at Ascog were fully booked the morning after an advertisement in The Buteman!

As well as being a spectacular piece of architecture, the Huf Haus is a wonderfully warm family home - to find out more, and see a selection of photos from inside the house, pick up your copy of the new issue of The Buteman, on sale from Thursday, September 13.
