The memory of a Bute baby who died last year aged just 10 months will be honoured at next month’s Kiltwalk event from Glasgow to Loch Lomond.

A team of six people will undertake the 23-mile Kiltwalk in memory of young Flynn McLeod, who died peacefully on March 26, 2013 after battling against the rare Ohtahara Syndrome throughout his short life.

Angela and Jethro Bremner Allison, Flynn’s gran and uncle, will be joined by family friend and local Laura McGregor and three other family friends on the walk on April 27 to raise money for Yorkhill Hospital and the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.

Jethro said of the two causes: “There are people within those walls who work with a spirit, a resolve and a love that despite the horrors they see, come to work with optimism and a smile that is invaluable to the families.

“It is critical that facilities like Robin House remain open and well-funded for families who go through situations similar to ours. With their experience they can make impossible situations manageable.”
