Dialysis group asks for public’s help

Haemodialysis patients typically spend four hours a day, three days a week, having their blood cleaned by a dialysis machine.

Bute Kidney Patients Support Group is seeking the public’s support with a funding application which, if successful, could boost their fund-raising efforts by £25,000.

An application has been submitted to Aviva Community Fund, and the Bute dialysis campaign is one of 3,000 projects hoping to reach the final stage and win funding which will take the group one step closer to achieving their goal of bringing a dialysis unit to Bute.

Just head to www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk where you can register your name and email address. Search for ‘Dialysis Unit for Bute’ to find the island project, and place your vote!

Voting closes on November 18.
