Bute Forest has appointed Nina Graham, the former local development officer for VisitBute, as the temporary project co-ordinator.
Nina will be in post for six weeks from Friday, February 7, and will be concentrating on completing an access plan for the forest and organising spring and summer events in the forest.
The temporary position is predominantly funded by Forestry Commission Scotland.
Nina left VisitBute at the end of last year as her funding from Highlands and Islands Enterprise came to an end.
Previous forest manager Emma Cooper, who was co-opted to the BCLC board of directors in December, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nina to the team. Nina has a wealth of relevant experience which coupled with her local knowledge and the relationships she has built over the last 18 months make her the perfect person for this role.” Nina can be contacted on (01700) 500541 from February 7 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
