Do you have any old colour photographs taken inside Rothesay Pavilion before the 1970s? If so, you could help play a small but significant role in the refurbishment of the famous building.
Stuart Thomas, development manager with the Rothesay Pavilion Charity, wants to track down colour pictures of the building’s interior which pre-date its 1970s repaint and which show off the original internal colour scheme and decor, in order that the refurbishment can match, as closely as possible, the colours and materials which were used when the building first opened its doors in July 1938.
The Pavilion will be closed from September 2015 until July 2017 for a restoration costing more than £8 million, which is being funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the UK and Scottish Governments, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Historic Scotland and others.
If you can oblige, contact Stuart directly on firstname.lastname@example.org 07872 068174.
