Gypsy jazz quartet Rose Room underlined why they’ve become firm favourites at the annual Isle of Bute Jazz Festival when they attracted a capacity crowd to the latest ‘Jazz at the Vic’ session in Rothesay.
The group’s new album, The High Life, featured strongly on a set list which also drew heavily on the major gypsy jazz influences of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.
This short compilation of clips (apologies for the poor visual quality, by the way - just close your eyes and enjoy the music!) features three tracks from that new release - The High Life, Edge Of Love and Hang Around.
Next up in the series of monthly Jazz at the Vic winter gigs, organised to support the 2016 festival in May, are Jazzmain on Sunday, December 6.
