Singer, songwriter and multi-talented guitarist Nick Harper is back on the Rothesay stage for a third summer running this weekend.
Harper, who played to sold-out audiences at Craigmore Bowling Club in 2013 and 2014, returns to the same venue this Saturday, August 15, in the latest in Transclyde Music’s series of live gigs around Bute.
Recording since 1983 in his own right and alongside others - not least his father, folk legend Roy Harper - Nick now has nine solo albums to his name, all of them attracting wide critical acclaim.
Alongside his studio recordings, he has developed a reputation for great audience rapport at his live shows - and while his songs can be intense and emotionally charged, in concert he is renowned for being relaxed, spontaneous and always enthralling.
Tickets for Nick Harper’s Craigmore gig - with support from local artist Anabrese - are on sale, priced £10, at Musicker (01700 502287) and Macqueen’s butchers (01700 502067). The music starts at 7.45pm.
