Bute Arts Society’s new season of concerts begins on Friday, October 5, when Oxana Shevchenko performs on Rothesay Pavilion’s new piano.
Works by Mozart, Chopin, Stravinsky and Ravel will feature on the programme at the first of five concerts taking place over the winter months.
While the Shevchenko recital takes place at Rothesay Pavilion, all the other concerts in the 2012-13 programmeare at Rothesay Joint Campus - they feature the Amici Cello Trio on November 23, the Kandinsky Piano Trio on January 18, ‘Brass Diversions’ on February 22 and Cuillin Sound on March 15.
The society’s concerts are staged with financial assistance from Enterprise Music Scotland, the Marshall Trust, the James T. Yuille Trust and the Friends of Bute Arts Society.
Bute Arts Society is part of the Argyll and Bute Concert Tours organisation; the other ABCT members are Cowal Music Club, Islay Arts Association, Kintyre Music Club, Mid Argyll Arts Association and Oban Music Society.
