A Bute schoolgirl spotted busking for charity is set to showcase her skills at Blackpool Music Festival.
Festival organiser Jon Bamborough spotted 14-year-old Rothesay Academy pupil Beth Swan as she played in a shopping centre in Cumbernauld.
As we recently reported, Beth has been raising money by busking in Glasgow for the Moira Anderson Foundation - a support charity for children and adults who have been abused- and Calum’s Cabin- which runs two holiday homes on Bute for seriously ill children and their families.
Jon said: “I was amazed at the confidence and vocal ability from Beth – she was sensational, and I left her a card and said I would be in touch about a festival slot in Blackpool.”
Beth Swan will be singing at the Blackpool Music Festival at HMV, Bank Hey Street at 3.30pm on Friday, October 2, and at 8pm at the The Waterloo Hotel, Waterloo Road, Blackpool.
Beth will also be selling copies of her charity CD.
The four-day Blackpool Music Festival returns to a host of venues across the area from Thursday to Sunday, October 1 to 4.
