The venue for the family picnic at this weekend’s Isle of Bute Jazz Festival has been changed.
The event was due to take place at Rothesay Castle at 3pm on Sunday, May 3, but because of the awful weather forecast for Saturday night and Sunday, the Isle of Bute Jazz Festival committee has decided to transfer the event to Rothesay Pavilion, starting at the same time.
“With rain forecast from Saturday afternoon through to Sunday evening an outside event is a total non-starter,” said chairman, Tim Saul. “It is also going to blow hard and be cold so everyone will be much more comfortable in the Pavilion.”
Tickets are on sale at the Jazz Festival shop at Guildford Square, and for this event only purchasers of the Weekend Rover, Sunday All Day ticket and Single Session ticket will be able to take two children under 12 in for free.
Entertainment will be courtesy of the Brownfield/Byrne Hot 6.
