A visit to Rothesay by actress and comedian Elaine C. Smith will feature on Scotland’s TV screens early next month.
The town will feature in episode three of ‘Elaine C. Smith’s Burdz Eye View’, an affectionate tour Scotland’s seaside holiday towns, to be broadcast on STV on Monday, April 6 at 8pm.
The six-part series began with a visit to North Berwick, with Oban, Portpatrick, Stonehaven and St Andrews also set to feature.
Elaine visited Rothesay in September 2013, along with her friend and Rab C. Nesbitt co-star Barbara Rafferty, to film for the series and perform a stand-up show at the Pavilion, which will also form part of the programme.
Elaine said: “Making Burdz Eye View was a great opportunity to perform my one woman show in magical places from my childhood and also in locations I have never had a chance to experience before.
“It was a real privilege to meet so many amazing people, especially the women who work and live in these iconic towns. It offered me a fresh perspective on how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful and diverse country. I hope the audiences enjoy going on holiday with me.”
