Caledonian MacBrayne will provide extra passenger capacity on its Rothesay-Wemyss Bay route for the Bute Highland Games on Saturday, August 22.
The chartered catamaran MV Clipper, owned by Greenock-based Clyde Marine, will operate three additional passenger-only sailings from Wemyss Bay and four from Rothesay during the course of the day.
The extra sailings are in addition to the normal vehicle and passenger services operated by the route’s resident vessels, MVs Bute and Argyle.
The Clipper’s sailings will leave Wemyss Bay at 0955, 1145 and 1930, and will leave Rothesay at 1045, 1235, 1845 and 2015.

The Clipper was chartered to provide a similar service on Games day in 2014, though her most recent visit to Rothesay was to provide limited cover during the RMT union’s 24-hour strike on June 26.
