The members of the Isle of Bute Artists’ Collective will once again open their homes and studios to visitors on September 26 and 27 for the annual Bute Studio Trail.
This is the fourth year of the Bute Studio Trail, which will be clearly marked by yellow balloons fluttering outside every venue.
Bute is a highly creatve island community, as we all know, for both music and art. IBAC artists will be displaying paintings, drawings, prints, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, photograhy, wood and metal work.
Here is a golden opportunity to meet and talk to the artists and perhaps to buy a work of art or craft, directly from its source!
Venues will be open from 10am until 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Twenty-eight talented artists and crafts folk are taking part - four venues are in Rothesay town, with 16 more spread across the island.
Rothesay Pavilion will act as the IBAC ‘hub’, supplying information about the Trail throughout the weekend. Also, for the first time, Mount Stuart House will be taking part as a venue.
For those without transport, the Open Top Bus will be running for visitors to hop on and enjoy a trip around beautiful Bute, stopping at any of the studios you wish to visit.
You will receive a warm welcome whether you are coming to chat, to buy or just to be inspired. Look out for the bright yellow map leaflets, showing the trail around the island, available from the Pavilion and a wide variety of outlets.
