Scotland’s annual Puppet Animation Festival is back on Bute - and this week it’s bringing the classic fairytale character Goldilocks to Rothesay Pavilion.
The ‘3 Bears’ tale, told by Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre, tells the story of what happened after an alternative ending to the bedtime story - when Mummy, Daddy and Baby Bear didn’t chase Goldilocks away, but instead became friends and cooked up the most wonderful porridgey recipe together.
Clydebuilt’s very own chef bakes in the kitchen and finds time to tell this wonderful warm classic story using kitchen implements in a very intriguing and unusual way.
Established in 1987, Clydebuilt is one of Scotland’s leading touring puppet companies, touring extensively throughout the UK and annually performing over 200 shows, also performing in China, Germany and the Middle East. For the past 16 years Clydebuilt has presented its productions at the Puppet Animation Festival.
Clydebuilt’s Rothesay Pavilion show is suitable for children aged five and over, and can be seen at Rothesay Pavilion on Wednesday, April 1 at 2pm.
