A brand new approach to the festive season at Mount Stuart gets under way this weekend.
Unlike the one-day Christmas fair which has been such a big feature of the festive build-up on Bute in recent years, this year there are several events happening every weekend between now and Christmas, including a ‘Small Plates’ dining event, extended tours of the house, screenings of the ‘Brandanes: The People of Bute’ documentary, activity sessions for children and families with Achievement Bute, and sales of locally-produced arts and crafts.
All the events take place at the Mount Stuart visitor centre, rather than the house itself - with the obvious exception of the extended house tours.
For more information on the events in this year’s extended festive programme see this week’s issue of The Buteman, on sale from Thursday, November 26.
Check out www.mountstuart.com for details too - and for all the bookable events (Small Plates, the extended house tours and the Brandanes film screenings) call (01700) 503877 to make arrangements.
