Port Bannatyne Golf Club’s recent junior prize giving ended a very busy year for the club’s younger players.
The main prize winners for 2012-13 were Matthew Dunn, who won the junior club championship, Lewis Poole, who partnered Matthew to victory in the High Road Pairs Trophy, and Craig Shanks, who lifted the Eddie Hamilton handicap champion’s title.
There was also success away from the club for Matthew, who won the ClubGolf order of merit title in the scratch-to-18 handicap section and also finished runner-up in the scratch category of the same competition.
The club’s junior players enjoyed a great day away when they travelled to Easter Moffat Golf Club to play in their first team match - which, though it ended in defeat, was still a great experience.
