Bute Shinty Club’s second team chalked up their biggest win of the season on Saturday as their Aberdour counterparts were swept aside by a devastating second half display.
Willie Lawrence’s 40th-minute strike - in his first full game of shinty! - was all Bute had to show for their efforts in the opening half, but Gordon McMillan added a second less than a minute after the restart.
And thereafter the floodgates opened, with McMillan adding a second and Craig Fisher making it four with less than ten second half minutes played.
As Aberdour tired, Ben Clarke and Willie Boag notched up goals five and six before Scott Harvey slammed home a penalty to complete the scoring after Clarke was tripped.
