The Galatea 2 team win the 2014/15 league outright with 52 points and 120 games won.
Other than dropping one point in their very first tie against the Struan they have not lost a single match all season. The Struan team finish in second place on 41 points and 94 games won.
The Struan started off well, but dropped away in the second half of the season and never recovered. Third place was very much in contention, too, between Golfers 1, Kingarth and Galatea 1. They had all held third spot at some point during the season, but in the end both Kingarth and Golfers 1 finished equal on 32 points apiece although a game difference of three, which is the next measuring factor places Golfers 1 in third position, Kingarth in fourth followed by Galatea 1 on 32 points.
All the way down to the bottom of the league there has been intense competition between players and teams alike and this is really good to see. We have had a total of 109 players registered to play this year which is enough for 15 teams including a reserve. Every year an invite letter is sent to all venues that have a pool table, so with the number of players interested in playing and the venues who are not currently involved with the league there is potentially room for growth.
