* The Isle of Bute Pool League would like to thank the Galatea bar who are once again sponsoring these competitions. Posters and entry forms have been distributed around all the league venues. As open competitions, entries are also invited from non-league pool players in the Isle of Bute area, Blackball rules apply. All ties must be played in league venues with the exception of the semi-final and final, both of which will be held in the Galatea bar at the end of the season. Doubles matches will be played to ‘Scotch doubles’ rules. All singles ties throughout the competition will be played over eleven frames with the players first out the hat having home advantage or choice of venue. There will be a redraw after each round in both competitions. Entry fees are £4 for the singles and £6 for a doubles team. Closing date for entries is Sunday, January 26, and the draw will take place in the Galatea on Monday, January 27.
The next committee meeting will be held on Monday, January 27, at 8:30pm in the Galatea Bar.
