The irrepressible Richie More was in cruise control on Saturday as he coasted to a massive 10-shot victory in Bute Golf Club’s April medal at Kingarth.
While fellow competitors struggled unaccountably in spring-like conditions, the Rothesay van driver stepped up a gear on the back nine to record one of his best competitive rounds.
A superb inward half of 32 shots gave the 11-handicapper a one-over-par 69 for a net score of 58, which left him out of sight of his nearest challengers.
Graeme Connor (12), Cammy Middleton (10), John Kernaghan (12) and Graham McArthur (6) shared a distant second place in first class with scores of net 68.
