The high level of non-returns was the major feature of the November medal at Port Bannatyne on Sunday.
A competition scratch score of 68 demonstrates how many players failed to return a score - in fact Jim Thom took the second class honours by virtue of being the only player in the category to complete 18 holes!
Liam Shanks, by contrast, scored a gross 73 to win the scratch prize - and earned a cut in his handicap in the process. Robert Jardine won the first class medal with a net 68.
This Sunday, November 11, is the first in the series of Club Day events newly introduced for the winter of 2012-13 and involving members from all three sections of the club - ladies, juniors and gents. Players should report to the clubhouse at 9.30am to be in the ballot for a 10am shotgun start.
