Moira Gillies won the Bute Motor Company Trophy at Rothesay Golf Club by a comfortable margin, finishing five shots clear of her nearest challenger.
Moira’s net score of 70 left Helen MacLeod trailing in runner-up spot, while Elaine Mackirdy finished third with a net 77.
Meanwhile, bad weather meant the only action in the gents’ section at Rothesay this week was the fifth round of the Winter Cup.
Neil Ritchie posted the best division one score of the day, beating Graham McArthur on a countback after both players returned net scores of 66; the net 64s posted by Nicky Simmons and Robbie Cameron were the best of the field in divisions two and three respectively.
With one round of the competition left, Graham McArthur leads on 275, with Tommy Duncan on 281 and Billy McFarlane third on 289.
