Michael Murty and Ivan Cowie made the most of the benign conditions on Sunday as Rothesay Golf Club’s Winter League resumed after a weather-enforced break of two weeks.
Michael and Ivan, in the first game on the course, returned the highest score yet in this year’s competition, scoring 49 stableford points - a total which would have been even higher but for a bogey at the 17th and a net bogey at the 18th.
Jimmy Ewing and Bob McKechnie took second place on a countback ahead of two other pairs - Richard Dunn and Donnie McArthur, and brothers Hughie and Craig Charker - after all three scored 43 points.
Hughie Charker was the top scorer in Saturday’s singles round with 38 points, two ahead of Gary Steele.
