Tommy Duncan secured victory in the Summer Cup at Rothesay Golf Club this week after posting a net score of 69 in the final round of the competition.
Duncan’s score gave him a ‘best four rounds from six’ total of 272, snatching overall victory by a single shot from club greenkeeper Shaun Kernaghan.
The competition was played in conjunction with the September medal, in which Duncan beat Neil Ritchie to the first class prize after a countback.
The lowest net score of the day was Donnie McDermid’s 65 (77-12), which was enough to secure second class honours; Pat McDonald won the third class section with a net 69.
