Port Bannatyne Golf Club’s hillside course proved more suitable to Alpine skiing than golf on Sunday as the wintry weather put paid to finals day in the Rothesay Motor Services Winter League.

The Winter League finals day fixtures will now be played on Sunday, April 7; this Sunday sees the first fixture of the new season, the Subscription Medal, for the Peggy Adam Cup.

Meanwhile, the Port’s convincing win over Port Glasgow in the last round of the Mail on Sunday five-man team classic event has earned them a home tie against Eastwood GC in round three.
