Donald Standaloft, Graham Bolton and Duncan Speirs scored 15 birdies between them as they finished in the top three places in the latest round of the Winter League at Bute Golf Club.
Standaloft (4) led the way on 41 stableford points, two ahead of Bolton (1) and Speirs (7), though the lowest gross score of the day was recorded by club champion Bolton, whose outstanding round of 66 included ten threes.
Standaloft carded a one-under-par 67 in a round which included four birdies, while Speirs counted five sub-par scores in his round of 72.
Robert McKirdy continues to head the league table with a total of 323 points from eight counting scores, with John McBride in second place on 316. Other challengers include Graham McArthur 314, Leighton Thomas 312, Richie Smith 304, Richie More 303, Stuart Wilson 294, David Bryden 293, Donald Standaloft 292, Graham Bolton 289, and Andy Docherty 288.
