Youth football: Another big away win for Bute

Bute YFC chalked up their tenth win of the season at Greenock Thistle on Saturday - and took their goals tally to an impressive 30 in their last three games, all away from home, in the process.

There were no real chances in the first 15 minutes, but once man-of-the match Kalum Ledicott smashed home a Lex Elliot knock-down from Ryan McTaggart’s corner, the floodgates were well and truly opened.

Bute added another seven before half time, but as Greenock grew increasingly frustrated the game descended into chaos and the referee was forced to speak to both managers to calm down their players.

The warning seemed to work for Bute, who added nine more goals in the second half to take the final score to 16-0 - the scorers were Matt Leitch with four, Nico McBride with three, Craig McNeil with two and Connor McClymont, Ronan Officer, Lex Elliot, Connor Reilly, Rory McNeil, Kieran Fenner and Kalum Ledicott.
