Donnelly strike grabs last-gasp win for Brandanes

NEWLY-ENGAGED striker Chris Donnelly earned the Brandanes their first points of the season on Saturday when his dramatic winner – with virtually the last kick of the ball – gave the Rothesay side a 4-3 win away to Symington Tinto.

Captain Wes Pattison netted a hat-trick for the visitors in the space of 20 first half minutes – and even though he was forced off through injury before the break, the Danes still looked to be on easy street when the half time whistle blew

But a David Whitelaw own goal and a cool finish from David Cartwright pulled Symington back into the game, and Christopher Porter equalised with just two minutes to go – only for Donnelly to grab the points for the islanders right at the death.
