WITHOUT any football since the middle of November, thanks to the big freeze which has held most of the UK in its vice-like grip for a full month, the players of Rothesay Brandane AFC have kept themselves busy by revealing more than their supporters would normally expect - in aid of a 2011 charity calendar.
The calendar has been produced to raise money for research into Huntington's disease, and can be purchased for 5 from a number of Rothesay businesses - contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org for details of outlets.
On the pitch, the Danes' last hopes of action before the Christmas and New Year break were dashed last Saturday when the continuing big freeze forced the postponement of their Caledonian League clash at home to Bearsden.
No games have been played in either 'Caley' division since November 20, leaving the Brandanes in mid-table in the first division as the year draws to a close.
The next round of fixtures is due to take place on Saturday, January 8.
The Brandanes therefore end the year in mid-table in the league's first division, with a record of three wins and one draw from their eight games so far.
Results, fixtures and league tables can be found at the Rothesay Brandane AFC official site or at the Caledonian League's web pages.
