CALEDONIAN MacBRAYNE’S 2011-12 winter timetables and fares come into effect this Sunday, October 23.

The main difference in the company’s Bute timetables is the change in frequency on Sundays on the Rothesay-Wemyss Bay route.

From this weekend, Sunday sailings leave Rothesay at 8am, 9.30am, 10.45am, 12 noon and hourly until 7pm.

Sunday departures from Wemyss Bay are at 8.45am, 10.15am, 12 noon and hourly until 7pm, with the last sailing at 7.45pm.

On Sunday mornings until December 4, Wemyss Bay train services are replaced by buses between Paisley Gilmour Street and Glasgow Central.

Full details of winter timetables and fares throughout the CalMac network are available at, and hard copies are available at ticket offices and on board the company’s ships.
