Weather disrupts Rothesay ferries for a second day

Adverse weather is once again disrupting ferry services between Rothesay and Wemyss Bay as Bute, along with much of the rest of Scotland, braces itself for the after-effects of Hurricane Katia.

Following Sunday’s disruption, which saw Rothesay ferry services diverted to run to and from Gourock instead of Wemyss Bay and an early end to the day’s timetable, sailings are once again being disrupted on Monday.

Though early sailings successfully berthed at Wemyss Bay, the most recent departure from Rothesay, at 10.40am, headed for Gourock; the next sailing from Rothesay, again depending on the weather, is due to head for Gourock at 1.30pm.

However, sailings between Rhubodach and Colintraive are operating as per the regular timetable.
