A security van crashed through the perimeter wall of Rothesay Castle in High Street on Tuesday.
The G4S van clipped a parked vehicle and the driver oversteered, sending the van into the wall resulting in damage to the structure. The driver suffered no injuries, and enquiries are ongoing as to the cause of the accident.
At the same time in Montague Street, a 71-year-old woman was taken to Victoria Hospital after being hit by a reversing car. She received treatment for her injuries, and has since returned to her home.
