Changes to the Rhubodach-Colintraive ferry service come into effect on Monday, October 26.
The alteration sees an end to the 20-minute frequency during Monday to Friday commuter traffic hours; instead sailings will depart every 30 minutes, all day, seven days a week.
The ferry will leave Colintraive at 00 and 30 minutes past each hour, with Rhubodach departures at 10 and 40 minutes past.
The only exceptions are on weekday afternoons, when there is a departure at 2.10pm (instead of 2pm) from Colintraive and 2.20pm (instead of 2.10pm) from Rhubodach, to fit in with bus timetables, and with the last sailings of the day throughout the week, which are at 8.55pm from Colintraive and 9pm from Rhubodach.
Monday also sees the roll-out of RET fares on all CalMac routes: the reduction will see the cost of a return journey on the Rhubodach-Colintraive route fall to £2.20 for a passenger and £11.50 for a car.
There are no changes to fares or timetables on the Rothesay-Gourock route, those alterations all having taken place on October 1 following the closure of Wemyss Bay for repairs.
