A nationwide road show to help people across Scotland get online is coming to the Argyll and Bute area.
The Scottish Government’s Let’s Get On team will visit 75 towns and cities from April 6 until May 8 offering free, informal, drop-in sessions on how to get online and the benefits the internet can bring.
Trained and friendly staff will host over 90 sessions at a variety of locations ranging from supermarkets to shopping centres to sports clubs and local community hubs.
The team will help people experience the benefits of being online first hand by demonstrating a variety of online activities such as how to set up an email address, tips for safe internet shopping and banking and how to video call friends and family.
Free, informal, drop-in sessions will take place in Argyll and Bute on the following dates, times and locations:
Monday, April 6, from 10am to 6pm at The Co-op Lochgilphead, Oban Road, Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute, PA31 8NG
Wednesday, April 15, from 10am to 6pm at The Co-op Helensburgh, 54 Sinclair Street, Helensburgh, G84 8TQ
Thursday, April 16, from 9:30am to 4:30pm at Dunoon Jobcentre Plus, George Street, Dunoon, Argyll, PA23 8BB
Thursday, April 23, from 10am to 6pm at Lidl Oban, Lochavullin Drive, Oban, PA34 4PL
Friday, April 24, from 9am to 5pm at Mull Post Office, Tobermory Post Office, Main Street, Tobermory, Isle of Mull, PA75 6NT
Sunday, 26 April, from 12pm to 4pm at The George Hotel, Main Street East, Inveraray, PA32 8TT
Sunday, May 3, from 12pm to 4pm at Kintyre (Campbeltown) Community Education Centre, Stewart Road, Campbeltown, PA28 6AT
Tuesday, May 5, from 10am to 4pm at Islay Golf Club, The Machrie Hotel and Golf Links, Port Ellen, PA42 7AN
Thursday, May 7, from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm at Tarbert Library, Barmore Road, Tarbet, PA29 6TW

The Let’s Get On road show is supported by an information line which people can call on 0300 004 1000 and find out where and when their nearest session is, as well as more about other learning centres and courses in their local area which offer help and support to get connected.
