Ballianlay SWI thoroughly enjoyed being entertained by Alison Clark from The Triple Aspect Puppet Company at their April meeting.
Alison arrived with a varied range of puppets to entertain the group’s members, all of which she had hand-made herself.
Janet Huddart, Ballianlay SWI secretary, revealed more about the evening.
She said: “We saw Alison’s very first puppet creation named Bodach. He was an old man who lived up the chimney.
“Other characters included a rat from the Pied Piper, Punch and Judy, Punch as a deep-sea diver and a mermaid to name just a few.
“Alison, also a member of the Scottish Register of Storytellers, links her talents and creates puppet characters to support her stories.
“The assembled group members were fascinated as Alison spoke about the chronology of how her company developed.”
The Ballianlay SWI April meeting competition winners were: Scone: 1st Helen Robertson, 2nd Corrine Liddell, 3rd Susan Lyon.
Finger Puppet: 1st Helen Robertson, 2nd Margaret Baker.
