A ROTHESAY man was fined £60 and given three penalty points on his driving licence after pleading guilty to using a mobile phone while operating a vehicle.
Damon Alex McLachlan (25), address given as 19 Longhill Terrace, admitted to driving a vehicle in Gallowgate on December 11 at around 9.15am while talking on his mobile phone. The incident was caught on CCTV and Lachlan was traced later that day.
McLachlan’s agent, Mr Jim Hannay, told the court thathe had received a fixed penalty ticket but had informed officers he wouldn’t be able to pay it as his driving licence was with the DVLA in Swansea for a change of address amendment.
McLachlan was issued with a £60 fine and received three penalty points on his licence.
