There’s just one week left to get in training and pick up your entry form for Bute’s charity community fun run.
The event, taking place on Sunday, March 13, is being organised by the Rothesay community sport hub - and as well as providing a chance for islanders to enjoy a walk, jog or run in the springtime fresh air, and get a little fitter in the process, all proceeds from the day will go to the Dialysis Unit for Bute campaign.
The event begins at Bute Shinty Club at 1.30pm (registration on the day is from 1pm) and participants can walk, jog or run on a mile-long course around the Meadows/Public Park area of Rothesay, covering the ground once, twice or three times - whatever distance or pace you feel able to tackle!
Afterwards there will be refreshments within the shinty club itself, along with an opportunity to find out more about the many organisations on the island formed to promote sport, fitness and health and wellbeing.
Entry forms for the event are available at Rothesay Leisure Centre and also at shops, businesses and community premises around the island - pick up yours today and get in trim for what promises to be a fantastic day!
