The fifth concert in Bute Arts Society’s 2015-16 winter series will see the Northern Lights Wind Quintet come to Rothesay on Friday, February 12.

Comprising Arlene Cochrane (oboe), Fraser Langton (clarinet), Graeme Brown (bassoon), Samantha McShane (french horn), and Sarah Hayes (flute), the group has staged many successful performances within the RSAMD, where they were formed in 2009, but are also committed to a professional future and taking their music to a wider audience.

Recent engagements include a recital at the Edinburgh Festival and a showcase on BBC Radio Scotland’s Classics Unwrapped programme hosted by Jamie MacDougall.

Their performance in Rothesay next weekend will be held at Trinity Church in Castle Street, and admission is £8 (free to students).
