The demonstrators at the April meeting of Port Bannatyne Rural were both members of the group.
Beck Reid produced two beautiful flower arrangements. The first was in attractive pink and mauve colours and the second was a spring arrangement of daffodils and tulips.
While Jean McMillan, brought along interesting items from the museum.
Jean had a book entitled Polar Times, which had many tales and drawings from the Scott Antarctic Expedition, the casket containing the Freedom of Rothesay certificate to Sir William Mac Ewan, and a large collection of family photographs belonging to a Rothesay family, the McGilps, who had several shops in the town. eJan had done a great deal of research on this family and produced an amazing family tree from it. President, Anne Jardine warmly thanked both members.
The competition results were a clean sweep for Muriel McKay and Jean Hunter. Muriel had the best Easter Bonnet and was first with the Hot Water Bottle Cover and Jean took the honours with the decorated Easter egg and the Rhubarb Jam.
