The leaders of the reformed 11th /1 st Bute Cubs are pleased to have had their work recognised by the Scout Association with the award at Foundation Level so early in their pathway of leading the Cubs.

“The Youth Approved Award has been designed to support members at all levels and to give our youth members the very best experiences from Scouting,” said Rich Dannah, Group Scout leader.

“Listening to the Cubs about what they think via a forum and through the peer leadership of sixer groups enables our adult leaders to develop with young members an interesting programme aligned with one of the Scouting ideals of preparing young people with the skills for life. I am pleased that our leaders have been recognised.”

The 11th /1 st Bute Cubs meet on Thursday evenings at 7pm in the Scout Hall, Port Bannatyne. The first meeting of the new session is on August 16.
