Guided walks on Bute for Scottish Archaeology Month

THREE guided walks to deserted settlements on Bute are to take place as part of Scottish Archaeology Month.

The walks, led by local archaeologist Paul Duffy, are to Kingaven near St Blane’s Chapel on September 15, to Balnakailly near Rhubodach on September 29, and to Branser near Kilchattan Bay on October 13.

The walks are part of the Homeland Argyll and Bute project, which aims to uncover previously unknown details about now-deserted settlements.
