Glasgow-based synth rock band, Tongues, will be making their debut at this year’s ButeFest, and are sure to impress with their ‘gorgeously grungy’ style.
Tongues’ music has been described as ‘hook laden’ and ‘festival-ready electro’, amassing over one million plays across Spotify, YouTube and Soundcloud.
Highlights of 2015 include performing on BBC’s Introducing stage at T in the Park, playing at Belfast’s Culture Week, reaching number one on blog chart ‘Hypemachine’, and being selected for Spotify’s discover weekly playlists.
Tongues aim to combine raw energy and emotion through the medium of synth, subs and vocoders. Think catchy and dark electro pop, meets synth rock anthem.
Their live shows focus on creating a high energy, engaging performance that focuses on audience experience - and ButeFest’s crowd will be no different.
Tongues play on the Calmac Stage at the island festival on Saturday, July 30, at 7.30pm - check them out!
