A former pupil at Rothesay Academy has been short-listed for a top prize in a national wedding awards scheme.
Jacqui Paterson, who now runs her own wedding photography business, is one of ten nominees in the Wedding Photographer section of the Breakthrough Awards, run by Hitched.co.uk, which aim to recognise the creativity and talent of newcomers to the wedding market.
Jacqui’s passion for photography was born when her Rothesay Academy art class paid a visit to Mount Stuart to meet artist and photographer Thomas Joshua Cooper in 2002.
She moved to Edinburgh to study photography at Stevenson College and set up her ChicPhoto business in 2010.
The winners are chosen by a popular vote, so if you want to boost Jacqui’s chances of winning, click on the link to the right of this article and register in order to cast your vote - the closing date is October 29, and the winners will be announced on November 1.
