Forest fun this Easter break

There might still be a nip in the air, but it’s official – spring is here! And what better way to make the most of it than by wrapping up and heading out to Bute Forest to one of their spring events?

Enter into a fairy-land on April 2, where children aged 5-8 years old can take part in Gruffalo-themed events from 10.30-12.30pm, or play in the wonderful world of Narnia from 1.30-3.30pm (or both!).

Elsewhere in the forest on the same day, youngsters aged 9-12 can learn bushcraft skills with den building and camp fires – the next Bear Grylls might be among them!

For both of these events, children are not required to be accompanied by an adult – although if any adults wish to join in, they’d be more than welcome to!

On Friday, April 5, Forest Explorers will be carrying out forest school woodland exploring activities – children should be accompanied for this.

Best of all – all these activities are free, so the age-old complaint during the school break of ‘I’m bored, there’s nothing to do’, will hold no water this Easter.
