Henshelwoods Fine Foods were also awarded two-star awards for its Tomato and Onion Chutney; Hot Apricot Chutney and Apple and Lavender Jelly, and one-star awards for its Strawberry and Balsamic Jam and Neep Chutney.
The company have won gold for an impressive seven years in a row. Manufacturing using small batch production methods each batch is taste tested to ensure consistency of flavour. All products (chutneys, jams, mustards and pickles) are in-house recipes devised by Lynn Henshelwood, and are favourites in delicatessens and independents throughout the UK.
Bob Henshelwood said; “We are absolutely delighted with these awards. Our industry is going through some tough times at the moment and winning a Great Taste Award (in fact five awards) is a great fillip and gives everyone involved a boost.
“With our continued success in the awards we just feel we must be doing something right! This is especially good for us this year as it helps our credibility when we try to open export markets. We are currently exporting to the USA; Germany; Spain; Bahrain; Dubai and are in discussions with several other countries.
“We would like to thank our suppliers for their continued support in ensuring we get only the best ingredients and of course our production team for maintaining the high standard of Lynn’s recipes.”
